This nice suburban home in South Lake Tahoe had tired old composition shingles that were losing granules. When composition shingles take on a shiny appearance, it usually is an indicator that the fiberglass is showing and the roof is at or near the end of its life. Unfortunately, when granule loss on composition shingles is wide spread, no repair can be made to correct the issue.
